The Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (RCASH) and the Missouri State University Libraries are partnering to establish a Digital Humanities Lab (DHL).

The purpose of the DHL is to provide resources and guidance that enable faculty and students in the humanities and other disciplines to engage in and disseminate digital research projects that combine humanistic inquiry with new methodologies and technologies to generate compelling and accessible insights and to enhance the visibility of the humanities at Missouri State.

The vision for the DHL is that it will:

  • enable faculty to engage in and disseminate digital Humanities research;
  • provide spaces for teaching and learning activities and projects involving the digital Humanities;
  • spark innovations in approaches to teaching Humanities disciplines;
  • encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among Humanities disciplines and beyond.

Opening

The DHL opens this fall in the Lower Level of Meyer Library.

A ribbon-cutting event will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Lower Level of Meyer Library. The event is open to the public.
